IOM TT Champions racing at Oliver’s Mount Road Races – Sat 14th September 2103
The latest recruit at the Davida Factory , Terry Robinson, rode up to watch the Steve Henshaw International Gold cup at Oliver’s Mount Road Races over the past weekend.
Run by the Auto 66 club, the racing is fast and furious over the 2.43 mile tight and twisty circuit that attracts all the TT road racing Champions such as Guy Martin, John McGuiness , Bruce Anstey and Robert , Michael and William Dunlop.
Classic machines mix it with the modern missiles to create some of the most exciting racing you’ll find on a circuit that, during the week, is driven on by the general public.
“Watching Guy Martin get off his GSXR Tyco Suzuki straight onto a classic Matchless 500cc G50 thumper and race is really something” said Terry.
Riding up to Scarborough on his BMW GS Terry rode through some pretty bad weather but was extremely happy with the weather protection of his Davida Jet helmet , JPV visor and leather face mask. “ Travelling home on the Sunday the weather was awful , heavy rain and gales, we still enjoyed the ride back though and will look forward to attending again next year”
This is a beautiful Ducati racer, owned by Craig Ridgley, that raced on Sunday.
